capturing lights in unexpected places

This was captured in the sensory room where I work. In this photo you can see why this tool is useful in calming and stimulating the mind.

July 4th

I thought this would be a great opportunity to practice using my camera. I played around with shutter speed for most of the fireworks show. My favorite images came out of a 4 second shutter speed. Some of these photos will show you why I should use a tripod, but also you can capture a lot of great looking accidents!

Assignment2

This assignment was not as fun as the first. I like art a million times more than craft. boring. I'm not even sure If i did it correctly. I had to return the borrowed camera and buy a new one(thanks mom, first payment in next week!) a few days later. I needed some time to figure out the light meter and how the camera functions. At least I now have my own camera. This assignment sucks but I know it's useful, I think I need to take English class again because I used the word suck in a school related blog. This is the contact sheet of assignment 2.

Just for Fun

I took this photo of sunflowers that my workgroup collected last week in the Adaptive Horticulture Class at DVC. I thought they looked beautiful so I captured them in photo before they withered away.
If you'd like to see where these plants are grown, they are in the garden between the tennis courts and the baseball field.
